taking in the breathtaking sites that you could previously only envision.

is also the location of some of Egypt's most important historical landmarks.

modern-era achievement and was constructed to shield the country from the
periodic flooding of the Nile River. The Philae Temple, which served as an
ancient site of pilgrimage for the worship of Isis, is one of Nubia's most
significant structures. Beginning with the Pharaonic era and continuing until
up to the Greek, Roman, and Byzantine periods with each ruler adding their own
stamp onto the stones here. Enjoy Captain's welcome cocktail and dinner on
board your cruise and next day prepare yourself to have a magical sailing to
Kom Ombo Temple.
Nile
river cruises ship, Learn more about the Temple of Kom Ombo, a unique twin
temple built during the Ptolemaic period, which lasted from 108 to 47 BC, by
embarking on a Sonesta Moon Goddess Nile Cruise. The ancient Egyptians thought
it necessary to divide their temple spaces within a single temple because of
the war between Sobek and Horus. Start sailing toward Edfu Temple, one of
Egypt's most stunning and well-preserved temples. The Temple's beginnings were
most likely in the Second Intermediate Period, although its current form dates
only from Ptolemaic times.
